Answer
On the IM 3540 and 3546, check hydraulic oil with the platform fully down; the level should sit roughly 2 cm below the cap. If you must top up, use oil with the same viscosity printed on the tank. IMER's advice is to change all the oil every 3 years, swap the air filter in the tank cap once a year or every 400 hours, and top up the wheel reduction gear with SAE 80W-90 (0.4 litres in total). The IM R13 T manual repeats the 3-year advice and shows an ISO VG 46 oil-type label. IMER also recommends a yearly check at an authorized service center and says not to wash the machine with high-pressure water.
