Answer
The manual asks you to check belt tension and the condition of the poly-V belt and pulleys every two months of operation. Correct tension is when a push of about 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) at the middle of the free span moves the belt roughly 5 mm (about 3/16 in). Do not overtighten; that shortens the life of the belt, the reducer and the motor bearings. After fitting new belts, recheck after the first 4 hours and then every 18 to 20 hours. The parts book lists the poly-V belt as 3229609 on the transmission drawing. Unplug the machine before you remove the belt guard.
