Compressors from 180 to 600 l/min can be used, and in general more air gives a finer spray. A 180 l/min unit suits most products that you spread by hand after spraying, such as plaster, grout and finishing mortar. Thin-layer products like levelers, paints and waterproofing need a larger compressor. With compressors up to 400 l/min you can connect the air straight to the jet and use the built-in pneumatic control. Above 400 l/min, always connect the remote control. Make sure the compressor does not restart less than 15 seconds after switching off, and check for air leaks.
