Stop the mixer and cut all power. IMER gives the paddle wiper rubbers a spacing of about 5 mm (roughly 0.2 in) from the drum, and as the rubbers wear that gap has to be restored. Do not set a rubber hard against the drum; the paddle then drags and may bend or snap. Retighten the paddle hardware during the first 15 hours, then check it weekly or after any thorough clean. Sharp scraping noises or heavy shaking of the paddle spider mean stop: unload by hand if necessary and keep the machine off until the cause is found.
