The IMER IM 4740 E is an electric scissor lift in the IM 47 series, model number 1128556. It has a 39 ft 4 in platform height and a 45 ft 4 in working height (46 ft nominal) on a 3 ft 11 in wide chassis. Capacity is 770 lb for three people. The 7 ft 5 in platform extends to 11 ft 8 in with the 51 in manual deck extension.

The operator can drive in any position, including at full height. Inside turning radius is zero, top speed 2.5 mph (0.4 mph safety speed) and gradeability 25%. Power comes from 24 V / 4.0 HP drive motors and lifting power pack, 24 V / 275 Ah (C5) traction batteries and a 24 V / 30 A charger. Stowed height is 8 ft 7 in, and weight is 6,349 lb on 16 x 5 in non-marking cushion tires.

AC power to the platform is standard, as are negative electromagnetic parking brakes, manual emergency lowering, pothole protection, a tilt meter with motion cut-out, platform weight management and proportional controls with diagnostics. The 120 V cable with plug, socket and safety cut-out is standard on US models; a gel battery and a second rotating beacon kit are optional.
