IMER specifies checking belt tension with a frequency (vibration) meter. For 400 V motors at 50 or 60 Hz, the reference is 47 Hz when new and 45 Hz once run in; for 220 V motors it is 45 Hz new and 43 Hz run in, each with a 2 percent tolerance. Stop the saw and unplug it, remove the four screws on the belt guard, loosen the four motor nuts, pull the belt with the adjusting nuts, then retighten while checking that the motor pulley and disc pulley are aligned. Refit the guard. The belt part depends on the motor version; see the drive drawing.
